about

Marshall Applewhite has released some stellar sounds via YoSucka!, HTK, and Detroit Underground aswell as a number of releases under the name OktoRed. Following up on his Clan Destine debut on the monumental "Dark Acid V". Marshall Applewhite presents his first solo venture on said label, "Advance Beyond Human". A cacophony of acid, ghettotech and pure filth all wrapped up with a sludge twist. On this EP Applewhite pushes the envelope of sonic decency, working an almost industrial feel purposed for after hour dance floor. Opening the EP is "Hey Girl", a call to the ghettotech sound Applewhite grew up on, but pushed into another dimension of bass. Next is the title track "Advance Beyond Human'", a noisy IDM/Acid track weird enough for even the darkest basement rave. Side B continues with the harsh industrial sounds with "Bull Head" and wraps up with an acid cover of what many consider to be the original Detroit Techno track, "Sharevari". All Tracks are pressed at 33rpm to be spun at either 33rpm or 45rpm for that ghettotech experience.
